"kuk mal hier" or "po smatrit"

Meaning "look at this!" One hears children of a certain age saying that to their parents every few seconds. But to say "look at this" can be absurd, the object "this" meaningless. Often the meaning and value of a "po smatrit" is in the consensual exchange, the being-together... and thus our weblogs are likely to be worse than "least of evils" unless they help us remember to BE together. I'd rather witness your "kuk mal" in person. I love to see how your face lights up; this is life together.

Google Desktop

I've been using Google Desktop for a few weeks. It provides (as of Version 2.0) an incremental search box similar to the "spotlight" in Mac OS X "Tiger." Every time I search, Google Desktop looks first among my emails, local files, and web history, which are "nearish" places. I like it.
